Last week we helped organise, promote and design the identity for Wilson’s Republic 2 — A design network for Huddersfield. We were asked to provide the identity for the second event which boasted talks from local illustrator and mate of the studio, Peter O’Toole and recent arrival to the North, illustrator Sneaky Raccoon. There was also a great set from DJ Boy Oliver, if you’re in the area make sure you check out one of his Funk & Soul club night’s. Overall #WR2 was a huge success, and it was great to see so many fine folks filling the beautiful Byram Arcade to hear some inspiring talks, share a beer and catch up with other creatives from the area.
With the success of the night still ringing in our ears, we have been asked to join the team behind Wilson’s to help steer future event’s! Which is fantastic, as we love getting involved with promoting the talent we have here in Huddersfield, as well as providing a platform to showcase other creatives from further a field. There is also a smaller ‘2.5’ evening planned in January, for more information make sure you sign up to the Wilson’s Republic mailing list over on the website. As for the Wilson’s 3, this should take place in March with a new ID and speakers, so keep an eye out for more exciting announcements early next year.
