Wilson’s Republic, the Huddersfield design network, had its third event last week and boy was it a good one! Once again we helped organise, co-ordinate and Aidan (our founder) even hosted the talks.
Friend to the studio and local fashion designer/artist, Benaiah Matheson spoke about his journey in building his label and we also welcomed Nick Bax (Human Studio) back to his home town roots for a great showcase of work that spanned his days in the Designers Republic to his own studio based in Sheffield.
We also commissioned Mike Lemanski to design the poster for the event, which was hand screen printed and available to pick up on the night. Mike’s work is featured in publications such as a Monocle, The New York Times and Gestalten so needless to say it was was great to have him design WR3’s poster!
WR4 will take place on the 23rd of June and will celebrate the 1st year anniversary of Wilson’s so keep an eye out for updates.
